Ministry Of Defence Designed DRDO- 5.56x30 mm Protective Carbine

As per latest reports coming in from Ministry of Defence which has in a press release stated that it has designed DRDO-designed 5.56x30 mm Protective Carbine has successfully undergone the final phase of user trials on 7th December, meeting all the parameters. 

This has paved the way for induction into the services.  And its services may soon be taken by the Ministry fully.

This was the last leg of trials in a series of user trials carried out in extreme temperature conditions in summer and high altitudes in winter. 

 Ministry of Defence also added that Joint Venture Protective Carbine has successfully met stringent performance criteria of reliability and accuracy.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
