Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Reports 11,27,244 In Past 24 Hours With 21,821 Total Active Cases

Reports have been coming in from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare which has shared data of Covid in the past 24 hours.

As per reports coming in India has reported a total number of 21,821 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours.  In the last 24 hours India has seen a record recoveries of 26,139 and 299 deaths in last 24 hours, as per Union Health Ministry

Total cases till now of Covid 19 now stands at 1,02,66,674.  In these 2,57,656 are the active cases in the country. With total recoveries from the Covid now stands at 98,60,280 and total death toll till now in the country is 1,48,738.

Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has reported that a total number of 17,20,49,274 samples have been tested so far for COVID 19 up to December 30. Of these, 11,27,244 samples were tested yesterday.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
