New Online Portal To Encourage Indian Handicrafts By Indian Startup

As per reports coming in from Chandigarh where a person had started a new startup which will connect India's art and craft to the world.  This event will be the 1st online creativity event.

According to tu reports from ANI Chhapai, a Chandigarh-based startup along with International Art and Imagination Forum (IAIF) created a world record by bringing together 2,800 artists from over 100 countries at an event — World’s Largest Online Creativity Event- W-LOC. 

Speaking on this occasion  Rajesh Batra of International Art and Imagination Forum (IAIF) said that, "I observed how this pandemic affected the livelihood & morale of artisans. It was then I decided to create this free platform (IAIF) for artists. Theme of the world record was creativity against COVID-19"

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
