Serum Institute Of India Issues Legal Notice To Chennai Volunteer

Reports have been coming in from Serum Institute of India which has issued legal notices to Chennai voluntary volunteer who have volunteered for covid vaccine trial. 

As per reports coming in the company has said that Covishield is safe and immunogenic. Incident with the Chennai volunteer is no way induced by the vaccine. All regulatory and ethical processes and guidelines were followed. 

The Principal Investigator, DSMB and Ethics Committee stated it was non-related issue to vaccine trial.

According to serum institute of India the legal notice was sent to safeguard the reputation of the company which is being unfairly maligned.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
