14,545 New Covid-19 Cases In The Country With 10,43,534 People Vaccinated

Recent reports have been coming in from Ministry of Health and Family Welfare which has shared latest data on COVID 19 of the country.

As per latest data India had reported a total number of 14,545 new COVID cases in the country.  A total number of 18,002 discharges and 163 deaths in last 24 hours has been reported as per Union Health Ministry.

With these tally total cases of Covid now stands at 1,06,25,428.  The total number of active cases now stands at 1,88,688.  With total discharges from the hospital now stands at 1,02,83,708.  And the total death toll is at 1,53,032.

Total vaccinated in the country now stands at 10,43,534.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
