Army Chief General Bipin Rawat Visits Arunachal Pradesh

Reports have been coming in from Arunachal Pradesh where Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat is on a visit to the state.

On his second day of visit to operational areas of Arunachal Pradesh, Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat have visited Army and ITBP personnel deployed in the forward most air maintained post along Subansiri valley in Arunachal Pradesh. 

According to the Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat during his visit to operational areas of Arunachal Pradesh has said that I am satisfied by the high morale and motivation of all ranks who will ensure certain victory if challenged or given the opportunity.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
