Guidelines For Films OTT Platforms & Cable Network To Be Issued Soon: Union Minister Prakash Javadekar

Latest reports have been coming in from the Union Minister Prakash Javadekar who have said that the Union Ministry has received a lot of complaints about the contents which are used in some of the serials and films.

As per the Union Minister Prakash Javadekar lot of complaints have been received against some serials available on OTT platforms. 

Films and serials released on OTT platforms and digital newspapers don't come under purview of Press Council Act, Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Act or Censor Board as per the Union Minister Prakash Javadekar.

However, the Minister reiterated that the guidelines will be announced regarding their functioning soon as per Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Prakash Javadekar.

As Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Prakash Javadekar have said that starting from Feb 1 full occupancy will be allowed in cinema halls while following all COVID-related protocols. 

Online booking of tickets will be encouraged. Detailed guidelines have been released today.
