With the view of the ongoing violence in United States of America Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a message on Twitter has said that he is much distressed to see news a violence in United States of America.

As per reports Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that he is much saddened by the reports of violence in United States of America about rioting and violence in Washington DC. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that orderly and peaceful transfer of power must continue. The democratic process cannot be allowed to be subverted through unlawful protests.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
