Climate Justice To Be Achieved: PM Modi

PM Narendra Modi at World Sustainable Development Summit 2021 has said that climate justice also means giving developing countries enough space to grow. 

When each and every one of us understand our individual and collective duties, climate justice will be achieved.

PM Narendra Modi at World Sustainable Development Summit 2021 further adds that this is the sad reality is, changes in the environment and natural disasters impact the poor the most. 

Climate justice is inspired by a vision of trusteeship where growth comes with greater compassion to the poorest as per PM Narendra Modi at World Sustainable Development Summit 2021.

PM further adds that the road to fighting climate change is through climate justice. At the root of climate justice is the principle of being large-hearted. 

Climate justice is also about thinking of the bigger and long-term picture as per PM Narendra Modi at World Sustainable Development Summit 2021.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
