Coal theft case - CBI questioned Mamta's nephew's wife



 A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team on Tuesday questioned his wife Rujira at the residence of Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee in South Kolkata in the coal theft case. in the interrogation that lasted for about one and a half hours, CBI officials made several questions and answers related to the coal case.

 Before the CBI team reached there, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's nephew Abhishek came to meet her at her residence. Mamta stayed here for only 10 minutes. Responding to a CBI summon on Monday, Rujira Banerjee, wife of MP Abhishek Banerjee, said that she would be available from 11 am to 3 pm on February 23 for questioning in the alleged coal theft scam.

Sources said that the CBI has sought details of Ruzira's bank transactions in the coal case. On Monday, CBI interrogated Rujira's sister Maneka Gambhir for 3 hours in this case.



The ruling party has alleged that the agency is questioning relatives of the Trinamool Congress leader before the assembly elections in West Bengal.

It is alleged that Manjhi alias Lala is involved in illegal mining and theft of coal from ECL laesed mines in Kunustoria and Kajor areas.
