FATF retains Pakistan in its gray-list



FATF is constantly keeping an eye on Pakistan. The FATF found that many loopholes related to Pakistan Terror funding remain intact.  Pakistan, the master of terror, is yet to get rid of the gray list. The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has retained Pakistan in its gray-list till June. According to the media report, all the steps that Pakistan had to take to stop the terror funding were not taken. Hence he is retained in the gray-list. 


 The FATF found that many loopholes related to Pakistan Terror funding remain intact. Pakistan was 3 out of 27 criteria which have not been met. For information, let us tell you that in June 2018, the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) placed Pakistan in the 'gray list'. Since then, Pakistan has not been able to take complete measures against terror. The FATF says that Pakistan must take action against all designated terrorists. 



The Financial Action Task Force (Paris) based said that the courts in Pakistan should punish those involved in terrorism severely. At the same time, work should be done towards effective implementation of financial sanctions. According to information received from the news, the Financial Action Task Force said on the findings of the conference that began on Monday, "There are serious flaws in stopping the financing of terrorism by Pakistan." He further said that not only this, there is a lack of effective system to deal with Pak terrorist funding.
