FIR Lodged Against Sharjeel Usmani For His Speech At Elgar Parishad In Pune

According to latest reports coming in from Pune where an FIR was filed against Sharjeel Usmani under Section 153-A of the Indian Penal Code.

As per reports coming in an FIR was lodged at the Swargate Police Station in Pune against Sharjeel Usmani for his speech at Elgar Parishad.

The complainant in the FIR is Pune regional secretary of Bhartiya Yuva Janta Morcha.

As per reports from the complainant while he was speaking to ANI we have requested police to also lodge a case against him u/s 124-A, IPC as he clearly stated he didn't believe in Indian state, Parliament and judiciary. 

We also said a case should be lodged against the organisers of Elgar Parishad as per Pradip Gawade, complainant in FIR against Usmani.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
