Former CEO And MD Of ICICI Bank Chanda Kochhar Granted Bail With A Bond Of Rs 5 Lakh

Latest reports have been coming in from the economic capital of the country Mumbai where former CEO and MD of ICICI Bank Chanda Kochhar has been granted bail.

As per reports Special PMLA court grants bail to former MD and CEO of ICICI Bank Chanda Kochhar on a bond of Rs 5 lakhs.

The court further asks her not to leave the country without the permission of the court.

Former MD and CEO of ICICI Bank Chanda Kochhar arrives at Mumbai Sessions Court after she was summoned in ICICI Bank-Videocon loan case.

As reported earlier Chanda Kochhar has been facing trial in the financial irregularities in loans cases by the SIT.  She along with her husband and other family members were involved in financial irregularities which was unearthed by enquiry commission.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
