Munita Prajapati , 19 year old from varanasi, broke the under-20, 10000m race walk national record on the penualtimate day of the 36th national junior athletics championship here on tuesday.
Her time of 47:53.58s made her the first Indian under-20 woman to go under 48 minute in the event. Khyati Mathur, coming back after a knee injury, soared to a personal best 1.77m in the under 18 girls high jump.
Munita prajapati is a daughter of construction labourer in mumbai since 2010. her mom is a house wife and her elder sister get the government job by the sports quota. Munita has three elder sister and one younger brother.
