Rail stop demonstration: Delhi Police increases security near railway tracks

  


 The Delhi Police on Thursday tightened security in various areas of the national capital, especially around train tracks, following a call by farmers to 'stop rail' protesting against three new agricultural laws of the Centre.

 Has given According to a senior police official, additional personnel have been deployed at several places near the train tracks and patrolling has also been increased. Another official said that, however, there is no information so far that rail blockers will be installed inside the national capital.


But the police have made elaborate security arrangements. The protesting farmers' organization United Kisan Morcha had announced a 'rail blockade' last week to press for their demand to withdraw the three agricultural laws.

The Morcha had said that trains will be stopped from 12 noon to 4 pm throughout the country. Railways have deployed 20 additional companies of the Railway Safety Special Forces, especially Punjab, Haryana, Utter Pradesh and West Bengal.
