Rs 50,000 CR Over 5 Yrs Allocated For National Research Foundation: Union Minister For Health

Latest reports have been coming in Union Minister of Health Dr. Harshvardhan in a media conference have stated that around Rs 50,000 cr over 5 yrs allocated for National Research Foundation.

As per Union Minister Rs 50,000 cr over 5 yrs allocated for National Research Foundation. A Deep Ocean Mission to be launched with a budget outlay of more than Rs 4,000 cr. 

For better synergies among R and D institutions, umbrella structures to be set up in 9 cities as per Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan.

This year, we have increased the budget by 30% of Department of Science & Technology.

And Ministry of Earth Sciences put together for 2021-22 as compared to the revised estimate of 2020-21.  

Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan spoke this on an event in the national capital.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
