BJP MLA Subhash Panigrahi Attempts Suicide In State Assembly In Odisha

Latest reports have been coming in from Odisha where a BJP MLA Subash Panigrahi has attempted suicide in State Assembly by consuming sanitiser yesterday.

As per reports while speaking to ANI,  the BJP MLA Subhash Panigrahi when asked about does suicide attempt he has done has said that he has taken this extreme step as paddy procurement was not being done in Debgad.

According to him more than 2 lakh quintal paddy lying unsold. Attempted suicide by consuming sanitiser to draw govt's attention to the issue.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
