Enforcement Directorate Sends Notice To KM Abraham, Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) CEO

Latest reports have been coming in from Kerala where Enforcement Directorate has send a notice to KM Abraham, Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) CEO, asking him to appear before its Kochi office on 5th March.

Enforcement Directorate has registered a case yesterday against KIIFB for external borrowings via Masala Bonds without permission of the Union Govt.

Enforcement Directorate also sends a notice to Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) Deputy Managing Director Vikramjit Singh and has asked him to appear before its Kochi office tomorrow, 4th March.

There's a guideline that authorizes any body corporate to seek their permission to borrow through masala bonds.

Kerala Finance Min Thomas Isaac has informed through ANI that KIIFB is body corporate and we applied through specified roots, we got NOC from RBI. There's absolutely no violation of FEMA.
