US State Spokesperson Welcomes India's Steps In Jammu And Kashmir

Latest reports have been coming in from United States of America where US State Department spokesman Ned Price has said that we continue to follow developments in Jammu and Kashmir closely, our policy has not changed.

According to ANI US State Department spokesman Ned Price welcomes steps to return the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir to full economic and political normalcy consistent with India's democratic values.

We have comprehensive global strategic partnership with India. When it comes to Pakistan, we have important shared interest in the region and we will continue to work closely with Pakistani authorities on those.

According to the spokesperson we are appalled and revulsed to see horrific violence perpetrated against people of Burma for their peaceful calls to restore civilian governance.

We call on all countries to speak with one voice to condemn brutal violence by Burmese military against its own people.

We will manage biggest geopolitical test of 21st century, our relation with China. Many countries present us with challenges including Russia, Iran and North Korea.

There are serious crisis and we have to deal with in Yemen, Ethiopia and Burma. But challenge posed by China is different.

Our relationship with China will be competitive when it should be, collaborative when it can be, and adversarial when it must be.

The common denominator is the need to engage China from a position of strength.

China is only country with economic, diplomatic, military and technological power to seriously challenge stable and open international system-all rules, values and relationships that make world work the way we want it to as it serves interests and reflects values of American people.
