Three terrorists killed in ongoing encounter in JK's Shopian

On Monday, three terrorists were killed in an ongoing encounter between terrorists and security forces in Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir.

The Indian Army's Chinar Corps tweeted this morning, "Three terrorists have been killed. A Joint operation in progress." 


"Two unidentified terrorists were killed in an attack," Kashmir Zone Police said earlier today.


According to the information,  there are apprehensions that some more terrorists may be hidden. The search operation of security forces is going on in the area.

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) said on Thursday, 226 militants have been killed during operations in Jammu and Kashmir since 2020, while 296 have been arrested.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
