Transport Minister Says That Electric Vehicles Would Be Cheaper

Latest reports have been coming in from Minister of road and transport Nitin Gadkari who has said that presently the prices of electric vehicles are higher than that of petrol and diesel.

Presently, prices of electric vehicles are higher but I hope that prices of electric bikes, cars and buses and those run by petrol and diesel will be equal within two years as per reports coming in from Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari.

However the Minister added that the Vintage cars will be kept out of the scrappage policy: Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways, Nitin Gadkari.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
