If Acting Career Poses A Hurdle For My Political Career, I Will Give It Up: Actor And MNM Chief Kamal Haasan

Latest reports have been something in from MNM Chief Kamal Haasan who in a rally in Coimbatore has said that acting is my profession. 

Actor and MNM Chief Kamal Haasan in Coimbatore further added that I will continue to work in cinema. But if it poses a hurdle for my political career, I will give it up. 

According to the actor I will finish movies that I signed earlier and then think about taking new assignments.

Many people say this (continuing acting after entering politics) is wrong. Even after becoming MLA, MGR acted in many films. 

The money he earned from acting helped him carry forward his political journey. I also need money for the same as per Actor and MNM chief Kamal Haasan.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
