Wreath Laying Ceremony Going On For Security Personnel Who Lost Their Lives In Naxal Attack Yesterday

Latest reports have been coming in from Chhattisgarh where wreath laying ceremony is being done to the security personnel who had lost their life in the naxal attack yesterday.

As per reports coming in wreath-laying ceremony for 14 security personnel to be held in Jagdalpur, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel are attending the ceremony. 

After attending wreath-laying ceremony for 14 jawans who died in the Chhattisgarh Naxal attack, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will hold a meeting with top officials in Jagdalpur.

According to to government sources the Union Home Minister will later meet injured jawans and visit CRPF camp.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
