DRDO Develops Advanced Chaff Technology In Jodhpur

Latest reports have been coming in from Ministry of Defence where it has been reported that DRDO has developed Advanced Chaff Technology.

As per reports this Advanced Chaff Technology has been developed to safeguard naval ships against enemy missile attack. 

Defence Laboratory Jodhpur, a DRDO laboratory has indigenously developed 3 variants of the technology -Short Range Chaff Rocket, Medium Range Chaff Rocket and Long Range Chaff Rocket. 

Recently, Indian Navy has conducted trials of all three variants in Arabian Sea on Indian Naval Ship and found the performance satisfactory.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
