As per reports this decision of Government of Maharashtra has been taken as this police officers fail to perform their duties in stopping a funeral procession of a criminal which was attended by hundreds of people.
Pune City Police has transferred 3 police officers including two police inspectors and a police sub inspector for failing to act on funeral procession of a criminal that was attended by over 150 to 200 people on 15th May. 106 people arrested in the case till now.
As per reports Maharashtra which is a worst affected state with covid-19. The Maharashtra Government in a protocol for this disease have stopped all procession.
And according to reports these three police officers were present in the procession that was held in the last rites being performed of a criminal.
