SSLC Examinations Begins In Bengaluru, Karnataka Adhering Covid-19 Norms

Latest reports have been coming in from Karnataka where today SSLC examinations begins in Bengaluru.

According to the reports SSLC examinations begins with full adherence to COVID-19 prevention protocols.

A student while speaking to ANI has said that because of outnumbered cases of covid-19 in the state he is a little nervous, but have prepared well for the exam. I am happy with the government's decision.

According to S Suresh Kumar, Karnataka Minister for Primary and Secondary Education today, the positivity rate is 1.3% and we have improvised SOPs. 

We have increased personnel. I assure parents that they need not worry about these exams. We are taking care of these children the Minister added while he was sharing his views to the media.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
