MoS Home Nityanand Rai Shares Present Report on Census

Latest reports having coming in for Ministry Of Home which have shared the latest reports on the forthcoming census in the country in Lok Sabha.

According to reports coming in Ministry of Home in Lok Sabha the forthcoming Census will be the first digital Census and there is a provision for self-enumeration. 

However, Mobile App for collection of data and a Census Portal for management and monitoring of various Census related activities have been developed as according to Ministry of Home in Lok Sabha.

The Ministry further reiterated that there is no proposal to release the caste data at this stage.

This was shared by MoS Home Nityanand Rai to Lok Sabha in a written reply on a question on Census 2021.

According to sources as per National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) report, the number of cases registered under UAPA has increased from 901 in 2017 to 1226 in 2019 while arrested people's number has gone up to 1948 in 2019 from 1554 in 2017.

MoS Home Nityanand Rai to Lok Sabha in a written reply has said that Jammu and Kashmir has been affected by terrorist violence, sponsored & supported from across the border. 

Since inception of terrorism in J&K (from 1989 till August 5, 2019) 5886 security personnel have been killed in terrorist incidents as per MoS Home Nityanand Rai to Lok Sabha in a written reply.

He has further added that the Central Government has also proscribed the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL) or Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), Daesh as a Terrorist Organization under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.
