Union Minister Of Finance Inaugurates Various Projects In Tripura

According to latest reports coming in from Tripura where Union Minister of finance Nirmala Sitharaman has inaugurated two projects worth rupees 21 crores.

According to the reports two projects worth over Rs 21 crores were cleared by the Centre on Friday morning itself. 

It includes-widening of state highways (Rs 14.15 crores) and various development works for Agartala worth Rs 7.4 crores according to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman 

According to reports coming in from Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman who has added while addressing a gathering in Agartala that Rupees 1300 crores project for Sustainable Livelihood and Infrastructure Development for Tripura’s Tribal areas would be cleared within the next 10 days.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
