Vice Admiral AK Chawla Congratules Southern Naval Staff In Kerala

Latest reports have been coming in from Kerala where Vice Admiral AK Chawla congratuled Southern naval staff for their successful accomplishment in their maiden sea voyage.

According to reports coming in Vice Admiral AK Chawla, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief Southern Naval Command met with the staff of Indigenous Aircraft Carrier (IAC) ‘Vikrant' and congratulated them for successfully accomplishing their maiden sea voyage. 

As per reports Vice Admiral AK Chawla on IAC Vikrant's successful maiden sea voyage has said that it is indeed a historic moment for India. We are going back to Kochi after five days of trials at sea. 

He has also added that we are going back with a great sense of satisfaction. This has been possible with dedicated teamwork.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
