Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla attends 76th UNGA For The Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons

Latest reports have been coming in from the External Affairs Ministry of India which has stated that Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla attends 76th UNGA on the International Day for The Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons.

According to the Indian Foreign Secretary India is committed to the goal of universal, non-discriminatory and verifiable nuclear disarmament leading to complete elimination of nuclear weapons.

Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla added that India believes that the goal of nuclear disarmament can be achieved through a step by step process underwritten by a universal commitment and an agreed multilateral framework, that is global and non-discriminatory.

PM Modi has indicated India's openness to new ideas as manifest in an ancient text Rigved, which says that let noble thoughts come to us from all sites. 

India will engage with all member states towards realizing a nuclear weapon-free world according to Foreign Secretary Shringla.
