India Will Uphold Human Rights In The World: Permanent Mission Of India In Geneva

Latest reports have been coming in from permanent mission of India in Geneva where it has been stated that as a candidate for membership of the Human Rights Council for the 2022-2024 term, India will continue to strengthen the implementation of the human rights treaties that it has ratified.

According to sources India as part of its approach for the protection of human rights will continue to strengthen its Permanent Mission of India, Geneva.

However, India remains committed to ratifying the convention against torture and other cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment or punishment according to Permanent Mission of India in Geneva.

India remains committed to access to medicines, diagnostics, and therapeutics to mitigate the COVID-19 pandemic.

India  will support the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development as said by India in Permanent Mission of India, Geneva.

India will maintain independence, autonomy and powers of investigation of national human rights bodies.

These human rights bodies will be including NHRC, national commission for women, national commission for minorities, scheduled tribes and backward classes, likewise.
