Pankaj Kr Singh, DG BSF Arrives At BSF HQ Kashmir For 3-Day Visit To Review Security Situation Along LoC

Latest reports have been coming in from Jammu and Kashmir where Pankaj Kr Singh, DG BSF arrived at BSF HQ Kashmir for 3-day visit to review security situation along LoC. 

According to the reports today he visited sensitive forward areas of Tangdhar, Kupwara and Bandipora, where he was briefed by local BSF Commanders according to Border Security Force (BSF).

During his visit he held discussion with field commanders and reviewed overall deployment and domination plan of BSF. 

He also interacted with officers and jawans on ground and lauded the high levels of professionalism of BSF Jawans and exhorted them to remain alert for any eventuality according to BSF.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
