45-Day Training Program For Skill Upgradation Of Handloom Weavers Under The Ministry Of Textiles.

Latest reports have been coming in from Manipur where a 45-day long training program for skill up-gradation of handloom weavers under the Ministry of Textiles.

According to the reports coming in from ANI Samarth scheme is underway at Sintha Handloom and Handicrafts Complex CFC, Imphal east district.

It's an important project aimed at creating opportunities for the handloom weavers to enhance their skills in the craft. 

Stipend as well other added benefits are being provided to the trainees according to Sintha Handloom and Handicrafts president, Sougrakpam Bhubon.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
