Ministry Of External Affairs Condemns Assassination Attempt On Iraq Prime Minister

Latest purse having coming in from Ministry of External Affairs which has shared that the Secretary of Ministry of External Affairs has strongly condemned the assassination attempt on Iraq Prime Minister and expressed concerns for the casualties caused by the attack.  

According to reports coming in the Secretary of Ministry of External Affairs stated that terrorism and violence have no place in any civilized society. 

We reiterate our support for the democratic process in Iraq according to Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs.

According to the reports Sanjay Bhattacharyya, Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs stated that we acknowledge the important role of UN Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI).

This mission has been supporting the IHEC and the Government of Iraq, as per the mandate provided by this Council, and contributing to a genuinely free and fair electoral process.

Sanjay Bhattacharyya, Secretary, MEA has stated that women candidates running for parliamentary elections have secured 97 seats out of 329, an increase of 14 seats over and above the seats reserved for women. 

This represents a significant development towards ensuring greater political participation of women in Iraq as stated by Secretary, MEA.
