National Tribal Festival 'Aadi Mahotsav' Continues In New Delhi

Latest reports have been coming in from the national capital of the country New Delhi where National Tribal Festival 'Aadi Mahotsav' continues to see good footfall as reported by ANI. 

According to reports about 8000-10,000 people show up every day, and the number goes up on weekends. 

On an average, Rs 40 lakh per day sale & highest has been Rs 60 lakhs - last Sunday according to Pravir Krishna, MD TRIFED while speaking to ANI.

It's an exhibition of forest dwellers and not your everyday shopkeepers. 

The shopkeepers at the exhibition hail from remote corners across the country and their products range between forest produce and handloom according Pravir Krishna, MD TRIFED.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
