Ministry Of Culture Organises Kala Kumbh In Odisha

Latest reports have been coming in from Odisha where 'Kala Kumbh' festival is being organised by the Ministry of culture in collaboration with Ministry of Defence.

According to reports coming in Kala Kumbh is being organized (from 10th – 17th Dec) in Odisha by the Ministry of Culture in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence in Bhubaneswar as part of the celebrations of the Amrit Mahotsav.

According to reports coming in Ministry of culture has stated that it similar workshops will also be held in other parts of the country. 

These type of workshop would reflect the tales of valor from Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Bengal, NE parts of India and Andhra Pradesh with artistic expressions reflecting the indigenous forms of art according to Ministry of Culture.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
