According to reports coming in, in a fresh case of fratricide, 2 Tripura State Rifle Jawans killed after one of their colleagues went on a shooting spree today.
The incident has occurred at ONGC GCS located at Madhupur, Konaban under Tripura's Sephajala dist. All the Jawans belonged to 5th Battalion of TSR according to Tripura Police Department.
After the incident, the accused jawan surrendered before the Police station with arms and ammunition.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb announced a compensation of Rs 5 Lakhs each to the bereaved families according to Tripura Police Department.

There are altogether 12 Battalions of Tripura State Rifles in the state. Each of the battalions comprise 1,000 to 1,2000 troopers.
