Dialogue The Only Answer To Settle Differences And Disputes:TS Tirumurti at UNSC meeting

Latest reports have been coming in from the UNSC meeting which is being held for Russia and Ukraine ongoing disturbance.

According to reports coming in India's PR to UN, TS Tirumurti at UNSC meeting on Ukraine has said that India is deeply disturbed by recent turn of developments in Ukraine. 

We urge that all efforts are made for the immediate cessation of violence and hostilities. No solution can ever be arrived at the cost of human lives.

According to reports India's PR to UN, TS Tirumurti at UNSC meeting on Ukraine has further stated that we are also deeply concerned about welfare and security of Indian community.

This includes a large number of Indian students in Ukraine. Contemporary global order has been built on UN Charter, international law and respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states.

India's PR to UN, TS Tirumurti at UNSC meeting has said that all member states need to honour these principles in finding a constructive way forward. 

Dialogue is the only answer to settling differences and disputes, however daunting that may appear at this moment.

India's Permanent Representative to UN, TS Tirumurti was sharing the country's view at UNSC meeting on Ukraine crisis.

He has further stated that it is a matter of regret that the path of diplomacy was given up. We must return to it. 

For all these reasons, India has chosen to abstain on this resolution according to India's Permanent Rep to UN, TS Tirumurti at UNSC meeting on Ukraine.

According to reports coming in India has abstained from the UNSC resolution that condemned Russia's 'aggression' against Ukraine

3 countries, including India, China, UAE abstained. 

11 countries voted in favour of the resolution while Russia used its veto power (to block the resolution).
