First Time In History Of India 38 Persons Awarded Death Sentence In Single Day

According to latest reports coming in this is the first time in the history of India that 38 persons have been pronounced death sentence by Gujarat Court.

According to sources a special court in Gujarat pronounced the death sentence to 38 out of 49 convicts in the 2008 Ahmedabad serial bomb blast case. 

Eleven others have been sentenced to life imprisonment by the court, the special public prosecutor Amit Patel said 

The accused have been convicted under Section 302 (murder) of IPC and UAPA, the special public prosecutor Amit Patel further added.

Ahmedabad serial blasts were a huge challenge to Gujarat Police, but our technical network and human intelligence was very strong.

Around 350 police officials were a part of the probe, with continuous guidance of the government as per RV Asari, Joint Commissioner of Police, Ahmedabad.

The materials used in these blasts, especially ammonium nitrate, wooden frame, batteries, Ajanta watch, were never used before. 

It is the best investigation done by Gujarat Police as per RV Asari, Joint Commissioner of Police, Ahmedabad.
