According to reports coming in from Guwahati, Assam a man shot his girlfriend’s brother on late Sunday evening in the Basistha area of Guwahati.
According to the sources the accused has been identified as Samay Roy who allegedly shot Prem Kumar Debnath.
According to Subhrajyoti Bora, DCP, East, Guwahati district who has stated that Samay Roy shot the cousin brother of his girlfriend.
Subhrajyoti Bora, DCP, East, Guwahati district further stated that the accused came from West Bengal.
However, Police reached the site and apprehended the accused along with the pistol. Injured Dev have been rushed to hospital where his condition is stated to be stable.
Police have started investigation in the case and interrogation of the accused has been started as to the reasons behind the shooting.
