Counting Of Votes Begins In Five States Of The Country

According to reports coming in from Election Commission where counting of votes is in progress in 5 states of the country.

According to sources these five states are Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Goa and Manipur.

Counting centre set up at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur

Counting of votes will begin in a short while. A total of 1,000 police officers have been deployed for security. Patrolling is done in sensitive locations according to Babloo Kumar, Moradabad SSP while speaking to ANI.

Stage set for counting of votes in Uttar Pradesh

According to the sources 3-tier security in place at the counting centre with CAPF, PAC and civil police deployed. 

Thorough checking and frisking of polling agents, officials etc. being done before entry to the centre according to ADCP West Lucknow.
