Former Chief Justice of India Ramesh Chandra Lahoti Passes Away In New Delhi At Age Of 81

Latest reports have been coming in from the national capital of the country New Delhi where it has been reported that Former Chief Justice of India (CJI) Ramesh Chandra Lahoti has passed away at a hospital in New Delhi on Wednesday.

According to the reports coming in the passing away of Chief Justice of India has been shared by one of the family sources. 

According to reports the Chief Justice of India was 81 and was suffering from prolonged illness.

According to the sources Justice Lahoti was appointed the 35th Chief Justice of India on June 1, 2004. And he has retired on November 1, 2005.

According to the reports Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also offered condolences on the passing away of former Chief Justice of India Ramesh Chandra Lahoti.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
