Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Should Be Brought To Fore Front:Defence Minister Rajnath Singh

Latest reports have been coming in from the national capital of the country New Delhi Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has said that Russia-Ukraine conflict has again highlighted that being self-reliant without dependencies is a vital necessity. 

According to the Defence Minister Indian Navy, which has been at forefront of ‘Aatma Nirbhar Bharat’ initiative of government must continue to lead the way.

According to the sources Defence Minister was speaking at the Naval Commanders' Conference. 

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has further stated that I must also commend the Navy on commissioning of major Naval units since the last Commanders’ Conference namely INS Visakhapatnam, the first ship of the P15B project, the fourth P75 submarine INS Vela and Navy’s second P8I squadron INAS 316 at INS Hansa, Goa.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh at the Naval Commanders' Conference has stated that Indian Navy has also been providing training to foreign personnel in India. 

According to the Minister over 19,000 personnel have been trained in the last four decades from over 45 friendly foreign countries.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
