Latest reports have been coming in from Odisha where 13 persons have been arrested for running interstate ultrasound racket.

According to reports coming in from Odisha where 13 persons have been arrested for running interstate ultrasound racket to determine whether foetus of pregnant women was male or female. 

According to the reports coming and from the police which has stated that on detecting a foetus as female, they would arrange for abortion. 

As per reports Pprime accused has been running this center for past few years according to Berhampur SP Saravana Vivek M while speaking to ANI.

According to the reports coming in from Ganjam, Odisha where the incident has occurred there portable ultrasound machine which is banned in India since 2005 has been recovered from the prime accused.

According to the reports this accused has been running this racket for the past several years with the involvement of lab owners, hospital owners and others according to Berhampur SP Saravana Vivek M.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
