A powerful earthquake kills at least 280 in Afghanistan!

A magnitude 6.1 earthquake killed at least 280 people in Afghanistan early Wednesday, officials said, adding that hundreds of people were injured and that the number could rise as information flowed from remote mountain areas.

The quake struck 44 kilometers from the town of Khost, near the Pakistani border, according to the US Geological Survey (USGC). of the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).

"It was strong," said a resident of the northwestern Pakistani city Peshawar.

Afghan media photos show houses have been reduced to rubble and bodies covered with blankets.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
