India reported at least 12,249 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases to 4,33,31,645. According to the union's health department, the number of active cases has risen to 81,687 in the country.
India also reported new Covid-13 deaths related on Wednesday, bringing the death toll to 5,24,903.
Active cases account for 0.19 percent of total diseases. The national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.60 percent, the health department said.
An increase of 2,374 cases was recorded on the active COVID-19 within 24 hours.
The daily positivity rate was recorded at 3.94 percent and the weekly rate was 2.90 percent, the department said.
