CTD Arrests Johar Town Blast Mastermind!

Latest reports have been coming in from Ministry of Terrorism arrested the terrorists with explosives in the town of Johar, Sami-ul-Haq, and his aide Uzair Akbar of Balochistan during a spy operation.

Speaking at a press conference, Inspector General CTD Punjab Afzal Ahmed Kausar and Deputy Inspector General of Operations Punjab Kamran Adil said both terrorists were arrested at Kundi Checkpost, RCD Highway, Quetta.
 Kausar said both terrorists were returning to Pakistan after crossing the border. Local and foreign currency and laptops are in their hands, he added.

Terrorist Samiul Haq was the mastermind behind the explosion of the city of Johar while Uzair Akbar provided support for the invading forces. Iranian currency, UAE dirham, Turkish lira, Afghan and Pakistani currency have been confiscated from arrested terrorists.

The CTD arrested the first five terrorists in an explosion case, Paul David, Ziaullah, Eid Gul, Ayesha and Sajjad in Johar Town, Lahore on June 23 last year.
A bomb blast near the home of Jamaat-ud-Dawa Hafiz Saeed in Johar Town has killed at least three people and injured 24, including a police officer.

Eid Gul, Sajjad, Ziaullah and Paul David were sentenced to death by firing squad and defendant Ayesha was sentenced to five years in prison and fined Rs50,000.

Kausar said security in the Punjab remained vigilant following a suicide bombing in Karachi. He added that the arrested terrorists were helping [the authorities] to reach more of his colleagues in the investigation. He concluded that the bombing of Anarkali was under investigation and that important steps would be taken soon.
