Delhi-Bound SpiceJet Flight Engine Holds Fire, Arrives Safely At Patna!

A SpiceJet flight from Patna to Delhi arrived safely in the capital Bihar after its engine caught fire after being struck by a bird, officials said. Videos captured by locals on the ground show sparks coming from the engine on the left.
Sources at the DGCA Aviation regulator said this was a bird strike, which often causes engine burns. The pilots turned off the engine and sat down safely, they said.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
