Joint MoU Signed Between Punjab Governor And Administrator of Chandigarh and Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari, Chief of the Air Staff

Latest reports have been coming in from Punjab where Banwarilal Purohit, Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh and Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari, Chief of the Air Staff witnessed the ceremony for signing of MoU.

According to reports coming in this MoU has been signed between UT of Chandigarh and IAF for setting up the IAF Heritage Centre at Chandigarh, today. 

According to sources this Heritage Centre will have artefacts, simulator and interactive boards to highlight various facets of IAF. 

As per reports this Heritage Centre will also showcase the vital role played by the Service in various wars and assistance rendered for humanitarian assistance and disaster relief.

This joint project of Administration of UT Chandigarh and IAF is planned to be completed by October 2022. 

It will attract and encourage the local youth to join the armed forces.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
