Mumbai police have opened a case against a 75-year-old businessman in connection with the rape of a 35-year-old woman in the Juhu area of ​​Mumbai.

According to police, the accused threatened to rape underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and threatened to kill him if he complained to police.

A victim woman lodged a complaint with a businessman at the Amboli police station in Mumbai.

Another shocking fact is that the woman received a call from the “D” gang threatening to stop her from registering with the businessman.

The alleged businessman had borrowed ₹ 2 crore from the victim and did not repay it. Also, when the victim woman tried to raise her voice against the atrocities committed against her, the alleged businessman and people related to Dawood Ibrahim threatened her directly that if she said anything to anyone about this, they would kill her.

Investigations into the case have now been handed over to the Amboli police station and to the MIDC police. MIDC police are investigating the woman's case.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
