The alleged businessman had borrowed ₹ 2 crore from the victim and did not repay it. Also, when the victim woman tried to raise her voice against the atrocities committed against her, the alleged businessman and people related to Dawood Ibrahim threatened her directly that if she said anything to anyone about this, they would kill her.

Investigations into the case have now been handed over to the Amboli police station and to the MIDC police. MIDC police are investigating the woman's case.
